Why is a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach to training, supervision, and therapy important?
Whether you want to obtain Continuing Education for your professional licensure, you are interested in services at the organizational/agency level, or you are looking for individual therapy, culturally responsive services provide tools for increasing and improving awareness, knowledge, and communication to address inequities and eliminate barriers disproportionately experienced by historically oppressed groups. By examining our own histories, beliefs, and their roots, we can reflect more effectively and openly across these barriers and create a positive and more equitable practice at the personal, organizational, and societal levels.
